Do you define a person by their actions, or their intentions?
I believe that you define a person by their actions. If you have two people, one that is thinking about saving his little brother so he robs a CVS to get medicine and then the other person who helps the homeless or some other good deed, who looks better? The person with the intention to do good is judged by that action, regardless if their intention was to make the headline news or get their name is the paper. This is also held true with the person that robbed the store. You don’t judge them by their intention to save their little brother, you judge them by their action of robbing the bank. So I strongly think that either way you look at it, actions are the thing that everyone is defined for, whether or not it is the right thing. Just think, are famous people remembered for what they did, or what they intended to do but never did. I just think it comes down to what you did, because that is what people see and think of you.
Please comment with your perspective. And remember to think about your intentions and they best way you actions can reflect them so that you are not wrongly judged for your ations, even though your intentions may have been very good ones.
